I am a full-time, qualified (AI) book indexer. During the past year, I have completed over fifty indexes to my clients' satisfaction. I can provide an indexing solution or adhere to a client's detailed instructions as necessary.
In addition to the large range of subjects of which I have special knowledge, I am also interested in taking on indexing work in other fields.
I am available for indexing work at all times throughout the year, including weekends and holidays. Also, I can often accommodate indexing projects with a short deadline.
I am also an experienced and qualified copy-editor and proofreader. Within these fields I am able to work on-screen or from hard copy as required. Some of my clients find this variety of skills useful, particularly when time is short, because I am sometimes able to combine proofreading with indexing, for instance.

I use a PC, Microsoft Word, Quark XPress, Acrobat 6 Professional and Macrex and the finished index can be supplied in whatever form is required by my clients.
'The most accomplished way of using books ... is two-fold: either ... as some men do lords, learn their titles exactly and then brag of their acquaintance or ... get a thorough insight into the index, by which the whole book is governed and turned, like fishes by the tail.'
from A Tale of a Tub (Jonathan Swift)
